As a family-run company with employees who feel like part of the family, our people are everything. It’s not uncommon for people to stay with Universal for 30+ years. Why’s that? Our priority is keeping our people gainfully employed with little or no downtime between projects. With that job stability comes peace of mind and confidence that there are more assignments coming down the pipeline.
It’s been our goal to foster a great employee experience from hired to retired. We encourage professional development and support our staff in their educational endeavors, with work/life balance that you can’t put a price tag on.
The right BENEFITS
Full-time employees receive benefits such as 401(k) plans, health care, with dental and vision options, short- and long-term disability, and supplemental insurance. We also offer competitive PTO, a health savings account or employer FLEX fund for tax-free medical expenses, and time for professional development with educational reimbursement.
Distance collaboration is now possible with video conferencing from Zoom, Teams, Webex, etc., giving us the flexibility to work remotely. We’ve also updated recruiting techniques to keep and retain fresh talent, with the latest technology and task management software that lets our team work efficiently.
However, when we ask our employees what they like most about Universal, they always say the people. Our team is truly a family, and when you operate from that human lens, anything is possible.
