Senior Vice President

Ed works in Universal's headquarters in Tulsa and is responsible for a variety of management areas including business development and proposal management. Ed's real estate career began in the 1970's as a successful broker. His right of way career began in 1980 for a local public agency in Phoenix, Arizona, where he served as Chief of Land Management. He then worked for the federal government as a Contracts Officer and Manager, managing billions of dollars worth of real estate assets.

Ed was the Right of Way Administrator for two cities where he managed the acquisition and relocation activities for construction of highways, utilities, airport expansion and economic development projects through the acquisition of hundreds of parcels. 
He has a Masters Degree in Public Administration and inactive real estate licenses in two states. He served as Co-Vice Chair of the IRWA International Professional Development Committee and has served in Chapter and Regional roles, most recently as Professional Development Chair for Chapter 33.
 
Ed has spoken at both National Uniform Act Symposia and at IRWA Annual Education Conferences. He also is a facilitator of IRWA education programs in the 200 series (Communication/Negotiation) and 700 series (Asset Management). With a special interest in negotiation skills, Ed originated the concept known as Healthy Negotiation. He has presented related topics as a speaker and trainer on a national basis. Ed is also a published author of historical fiction.
